From the School Desk of Boar: Meet my Baby Sister
Hi kids! Boar here!
Today, I want to talk about a tough subject for me. Raise your hand if you have sisters and brothers.
Me too. I wanted to talk about what a tough time I had when my baby sister, Junior came into my life.
The last time we got together I told you about how hard it was going from being an only child to having siblings. It all seemed to happen so fast! One day my parents and I were at a restaurant and before I knew it, Junior was coming home with us! You see, we saw Junior hopping around in a bin full of stiffs, that is stuffed animals. It seemed like we had no choice but to bring her home. She was was alive!
..
Junior was pretty quiet during the car ride home, but once we got home she was all over the place! I found out pretty quick that Junior was not like me at all! I did not like having a sibling, and, I had to start sharing my parents, my home and my toys. Everything I did, Junior did. Everywhere I went, Junior went. I was not enjoying being a big sister at all!
My parents saw how unhappy I was so they talked to me. They told me how my sister needed time to get used to having a family too and how being a good big sister was the best gift I could give to Junior. Being a good big sister meant that I not only had to share everything with Junior, I had to want to share too.
I remember it felt like a long time before I felt good sharing, but I sure don’t mind it now. Junior has added so much to my life I just can’t explain it. Every day I find is a new adventure with Junior. I love to play new games with Junior, teach her things that I know and even tease her like a big sister should, playfully.
Now, I hope everyone gets a chance to have someone new come into their life to enjoy too!
Enjoy reading about Junior to see how she not only grew, but grew on me!
I can’t wait to tell you about Hardy!
See you soon!
